Call for Abstracts EREM 2013 - The 2013 International Symposium on Electrokinetic RemediationJune 23 – 26, 2013, Boston, MA, USAhttps://www.northeastern.edu/erem2013/ On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I am pleased to announce thefirst call for abstracts for the 2013 International Symposium onElectrokinetic Remediation (EREM 2013) to be held in Boston, MA, June23 – 26, 2013. Electrokinetics processes offer versatile mechanismsfor management and remediation of contaminated materials as well asother engineering applications. The EREM symposiums started in Albi,France in 1997 and since then have been held twelve times but only inEurope and Asia – Lyngby, Denmark (1999); Karlsruhe, Germany (2001);Mol, Belgium (2003); Ferrara, Italy (2005); Vigo, Spain (2007); Seoul,South Korea (2008); Lisbon, Portugal (2009), Kaohsiung, Taiwan (2010);Utrecht, The Netherlands (2011) and most recently in Sapporo, Japan(2012). The annual EREM Symposium provides a venue to present anddiscuss recent developments in electrokinetic and electrochemicalremediation and will be attended by world-renowned experts inelectrokinetics. In 2013, we are excited that the symposium will beheld at Northeastern University in Boston, one of America’s oldestcities.
