TILSI网站上线 已有2人参与

太仓生命信息研究所（TILSI）是一所非盈利的学术研究机构，由太仓政府提供启动资金。TILSI的网站www.tilsi.org 与Bioso!搜索引擎www.bioso.org 将于2012年10月11日正式上线。 TILSI的理念是成为具有国际先进水平的生物信息中心，提供高质量的生物信息学服务，推动世界范围内生物医学研究成果的免费共享。 TILSI的使命是成为一个国内外生物数据、分析工具和科学文献的整合资源的重要交汇点，为科学家、信息学家和广大的用户提供友好的、强大的访问界面。 TILSI的目标是为建立中国国家生物信息综合平台，为支持具有重大战略意义的国家生命科学研究做出重要贡献；建立一个能推动免费查阅的科学出版物的机制。 Bioso!搜索引擎完全由TILSI自主开发，它为用户访问TILSI生物信息学资源提供了便捷的入口。Bioso!背后的综合性服务平台整合了数据，工具和文献资源；此次上线，该平台收集了使用最为广泛的4种数据类型，6个数据库——基因组（Ensembl & Ensembl Genomes），核酸（EMBL-Bank & EMBL-CDS），蛋白质（Uniprot & InterPro），相互作用（IntAct）；与2个分析工具——Blast & AmiGo。更多的生物信息资源将被逐步整合到该平台中。 Bioso!搜索引擎与综合性资源平台的上线是TILSI的第一个重要里程碑，是为实现其长远的目标走出了第一步。它宣告了中国自主研制的搜索引擎在生命科学领域的诞生，同时也显示了TILSI服务于科学的承诺与我们对生物信息学平台建设工程化的追求。后台的整合性架构不仅将国际共享资源用新型的整合方式提交给搜索引擎，她还为中国生物信息学资源的获取，管理，整合以及知识挖掘提供了一个综合的平台，为支持国家重大科学项目海量数据的分析与注释提供了一个技术框架。 TILSI is a non-profit academic organization, initially funded by Taicang government. The website of TILSI www.tilsi.org and its powerful search engine Bioso! www.bioso.org will be formally launched on Oct.11th, 2012. TILSI’s vision is to become a premier global information centre in the delivery of high-quality bioinformatics services, and in promoting free-access to world-wide biomedical research results. TILSI’s mission is to become an ultimate gateway of integrated resources of biomedical data, analytical tools and literature from the research communities of China and the world, and to provide friendly yet powerful access interface to researchers, informatics practitioners and the general public. TILSI’s targets are to contribute to building China’s national bioinformatics infrastructure that has the capacity to support national life science research with great national strategic importance, and to set up a mechanism to promote open-access scientific publications. Bioso! is a powerful search engine for users to access TILSI’s rich resources of databases, tools and literatures; and it is fully independently developed. At this launch time, the integrated platform behind Bioso! includes 6 databases of 4 most widely-used data types - Genomes (Ensembl & Ensembl Genomes), Nucleotide (EMBL-Bank & EMBL-CDS), Protein (Uniprot & InterPro), and Interaction (IntAct). Two analysis tools included are Blast and AmiGo. We will take the incremental approach to integrate more bioinformatics resources into our service platform. The launch of Bioso! and its integrated resource platform are our first important milestone towards the realization of our grand targets. It announces the birth of China’s own search engine in life sciences. It also demonstrates our commitment to serve the sciences, and our pursuit of the engineering excellence. The backend integrated infrastructure is the foundation not only to feed international public data to the search engine, it will also become the base to collect, curate, integrate and mine the data directly from Chinese research labs, and to serve as the analytical and annotation engine to the projects with the national importance. 是啊，因为这个平台还比较新，暂时只整合了4种常用的数据类型（6个数据库）——Genomes(Ensembl & Ensembl Genomes), Nucleotide (EMBL & EMBL-CDS), Protein (Uniprot & InterPro), Interaction (IntAct); Bioso!最大的亮点在于“整合”， 不可否认现在整合的资源还非常有限，仅仅实现了summary page的 Gene & Genomes的功能， summary page的信息很多，现在数据主要来源于 Ensembl, General info我们根据cross-reference链接到了Uniprot, EMBL 还有 Interpro. 相比国际知名的NCBI 与 EBI, 我们在数据展示方面有自己的特色， 可以实现跨物种的检索，检索结果的数目会实时更新，也可以通过检索结果页面的"Filter"功能进行更精确的查询 如果您有更好的建议和意见，随时与我们联系 |
