Theoretical research on industrial cluster development of sports events Abstract: We discussed the related theories on industrial cluster development of sport events by literature search, expert interviews and logical analysis. Specifically, We explored and summarized the the following aspects of industrial cluster development: its overview, its theorectical basis, its role and characteristics, the mechanism of its formation and the possible pathway. We proposed that industrial cluster development is the optimal way for sports events development. And we have to balance the economical aspect and non-economical aspect during the development, so as to protect the ecological enviroment when pursuing scale economics.
