I have not found any remark about the concentration of the entrainer in the liquid phase(xE) and about the solvent-free concentrations (xA*, yA*). On the basis of the classical yA*- xA*diagram we can state a lot of things for the limiting values. For example there is obviously a minimum solvent to feed ratio otherwise the specified xD,A concentration cannot be reached because of the insufficient A/B separation (survival of the “azeotrope”:yA*=xA*) for both heavy and light entrainers. A maximum feed ratio is also expected since (in the case of heavy solvent) the distillate A can be also polluted with E even if the separation A/B is appropriate.
