IR/NIR Software Evaluation Engineer
|
We are seeking an individual with extensive expertise in IR/NIR instrument systems including hardware and software to act in a role of systems quality assurance tester. A successful candidate will have an understanding of IR/NIR principles and its usage; as well as a passion and understanding of the details of instrument hardware and software systems. Knowledge of the software testing discipline and its integration with software development life cycle is a plus. This individual must be familiar with the basic maintenance procedures for IR/NIR instruments. They should be able to prepare samples and to make fully usage of the instrument. They must be familiar with lab safety protocols. The main responsibility of this role is to evaluate and ensure the quality of the software in its R&D phase. The software will be provided to our customers to use/control PerkinElmer IR/NIR instruments. The day-to-day work includes developing test cases according to software requirement documents, executing tests, logging bugs, reporting quality status, providing feedback and opinions on software advancements. The ability to work as part of a team and effectively manage multiple projects is critical. Qualifications: • Rich hands-on experience with IR/NIR (>2 years) use and troubleshooting • Experience on PerkinElmer IR/NIR/UV instrument is a significant plus • Knowledge of IR/NIR/UV customer use scenarios, hardware, and IR/NIR instrument maintenance • Experience with IR/NIR hardware and software system specification, design, and testing is a plus • An exceptional mix of scientific expertise, customer focus and communications skills are required to meet the needs of this position • Excellent Documentation skills per GLP standards is a must • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills • Good written and oral communication skills in English • Strong analytical skills and proven problem solving ability This position is located in Shanghai, China |
