POSITION TITLE: Senior Process Engineer DEPARTMENT: P&T REPORT TO: Production & Technical Director PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Improve the production process for PEEK. Planning, organization, direction, implementation of experiments to understand the production process and improve it further, including the planning for new technologies and equipments. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Process Optimization Develop plans to optimize the production process including the Planning and organization of experiments. Direct and Execute Process optimization project design, calculation; complete the PFD, PID, Mass balance, Energy balance. Take part in the technical improvement discussion, problems analysis after handover, make cost estimate, instruction and acceptance of internal improvements. 2. Engineering Development of projects (Mass balance, Development of concepts, Evaluation of alternatives, technical evaluation). 3. Process Design Select equipment and instrument types with support from other disciplines. Review and improve technical concepts and design drawings. 4. Engineering Prepare for project reviews and project quality assurance documents. Create and execute project work plans (with time schedule) and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Coordinate the execution of the projects with Design Institutes, local authorities, external suppliers, Engineering contractors. 5. Start up Carry out or organize the acceptance tests of equipments, construction and installation. Coordinate or Support Start-up of plant / project. 6. Documentation Prepare the manual book and training for operators about relevant units. Set-up of project documentation, ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored in line with requirements of quality system. JOB QUALIFICATION: 1. Bachelor degree or above, major in chemical engineering or project management. 2. Good knowledge of chemistry or process technology. 3. At least 3 years of professional experience as process in plant engineering and construction for chemical processes for multinational companies. 4. Experience with process engineering for chemical plants including process optimization, trouble shooting, revamping of existing equipment, and planning of new processes. This also includes the planning and carrying out in plant scale the necessary experiments to get required data together with production department. 5. Project planning and execution experience up to a level of several Million RMB of investment. 6. Flexibility and high level of personal initiative. 7. Sound knowledge of process engineering for chemical plants including good knowledge in the related fields like instrumentation. 8. Familiar with Chinese standards and codes and experience in their practical application during execution projects locally. 9. Excellent English language skill both in written and spoken. 10. Application of AUTO CAD drawing and Microsoft project software. 11. Be able to transfer clear information, plan and attitude to others. 12.
