Based on prior relevant studies on trust in other domain, we proposed two hypotheses: (1) trust among ISLT consisted of two dimensions (cognition-based and affect-based trust); and (2) cognition-based trust between CIO and top management team had positive effect on affect-based trust. With the data gathered from 232 organizations locating in 12 provinces of China by questionnaire, the paper tested the hypotheses using factor analysis and structural equation modeling. As results, both hypothesis 1 and hypothesis 2 were supported. The findings will expand the application of traditional trust scale to IS domain.
