[交流] what is Schottky–Mott junction? 已有2人参与

I have come across "Schottky–Mott junction‘' several times including those in dye-sensitized solar cell as well in other catalysis systems.
But to date, I haven't grasped its meaning, would you please explain this term for me in an fool-proof way?

说的是异质结。电化学测试中有这个测试。能看出复合半导体是N还是P型，还能看出平带电位。

it has no concept of Schottky-Mott Junction, it would be Schottky Junction, or denote MS junction, which represents metal-semiconductor junction and is very commone in the fields as the you mentioned.

according to the fields as you mentioned above, take DSSC as the example.
the interface of the semiconductor (TiO2, most common) and the TCO (metal-like conducting substrate, it can be treated as metal) can be treated as metal-semiconductor Schottky junction. In this kind of junction, one of the most common features is the function of rectification, which is similar to a common pn junction and it is sensitive to the density of doping of the semiconductor.
Phenomenally, from the JV characteristics of the DSSCs, it can be seen that the photovoltaic behaviors changed as the work function of the conducting substrate.
to further understand these concepts and the phenomena, you can go to the isiweb to search related literature using the key word of "Schottky", "thermoionic emission" , and "DSSCs"
