The ``frequency response'' of the TVR(tonic vibration reflex) seems to be highly correlated with a motoneuron recruitment/derecruitment process resulting from the ``frequency response'' of the primary spindle endings. Indeed, these receptors can respond in 1:1 synchrony up to about 100±150 Hz ; beyond this ``cut-off'' frequency most receptors start to respond at subharmonic frequencies and then at random.
