Open Position: Fermentation Engineer, Shanghai Start date: Immediately available – Full time position LanzaTech is seeking a motivated individual to lead their fermentation work in Shanghai. Immediate responsibilities include strain maintenance and operation of the proprietary fermentation processes for LanzaTech; collaboration with team in the design and execution of experiments, collection and analysis of data and the implementation of results, development and planning of experiments to evaluate fermenter performance and advise on fermenter operation. Responsibilities - Set-up and operate lab scale fermentation experiments - Analyze fermentation data and develop new methods and strategies to improve performance of LT proprietary strain, meeting the company’s objectives - Present data and new findings to other internal research teams, including in-house patent lawyer - Assists laboratory staff with technical details of fermenters, pumps and data capture. Instructs all staff members on how to efficiently use chemical and mechanical tools to further develop the LanzaTech process - Maintenance of laboratory books and records to the level required by LanzaTech’s patent attorney - Report new IP to in-house patent attorney - Dedicated to work place health and safety- including personal protection equipment and lab space safety Qualification and Experience: • Excellent communication in English and Chinese, both written & spoken. • Degree in Science; Chemistry, Biotechnology or Postgraduate qualification in related field. An advanced degree in one of these fields is desirable. • Overseeing and implementation of environmental health and safety policies and procedures in a chemistry, fermentation and or microbiologial laboratory. • The ideal candidate will have gained experience in more than one industrial sector, ideally from the Pharmaceuticals, Biofuels, Chemicals and/or fermentation sector. • Comfortable with basic actions in word, excel and powerpoint for recording results 备注：可以是应届生，但英语口语一定要好，基本达到无障碍沟通交流。 [ Last edited by 重扶残醉 on 2012-8-17 at 12:40 ] |
