Thank you for your interest. As you probably appreciate, we are concerned with the synthesise, assembly and characterisation of nanostructured materials, especially carbons. We collaborate with others to measure adsorption/catalysis properties. Your background may indeed be relevant. I can recommend that you apply to the scholarships via the Imperial website (unless you already have funds); there should be a new set of international scholarships launched shortly. There are also potential scholarships in Chemical Engineering which may be relevant. A joint project, for example, with David Chadwick might be possible. If you are interested in starting sooner, rather than October 2013, let me know, as there may be other opportunities.
