Gold and silver nanoparticles have several unique physical and chemical characteristics. In recent years, production of gold and silver nanoparticles in multi-membrane system has attracted much attention. The combination of metal nanoparticles and multi-membrane system produces multi-functional nano composite materials and can be applied widely in many fields related to nanotechnology. Here we mainly discussed some methods of in-situ formation, normal exosyndrome methods, and some applications of multi-membrane nano composite materials; and made some predictions of the development trends in this field.
