Gold medal No. 21- No. 25 of the Chinese Team

On August 4, the Chinese Team won 5 gold medals at the London Olympic Games. Several contestants performed extremely well. The Chinese Women epee team, comprising Li Na, Sun Yujie, Luo Xiaojuan and Xu Anqi won the gold medal, which is the first epee gold of women at the Olympic Games and the first fencing team gold medal. The first, third and forth places were all won by we Chinese at the 20-km walk yesterday, gold by Chen Ding, bronze by Wang Zhen, the forth place by Cai Zelin. Chen Ding's result is also a new Olympic record. In women's badminton individual, Li Xuerui defeated her teammate Wang Yihan, won a gold, while Wang Yihan won a silver. This is the forth consecutive gold medals China won in women's badminton individual at the Olympics, indicating China's outstanding performance in this item. Tian Qing and Zhao Yunlei won a gold in women's badminton double, their gold medal was won in the background that the best double Yu Yang and Wang Xiaoli was disqualified for the competition. Thus, this gold medal seems really precious, it is reported that Li Yongbo, coach of the badminton team yelled as Tian and Zhao defeated the Janpanese players. At the end of the August the 4, the USA still ranked first on the medal list, with 26 gold and 54 in total, followed by China with 25 gold and 53 in total, Britain ranked third with 9 gold. Sun Yang won the gold medal in men's 1500 meter freestyles swimming, he also set a new Olympic Games record. This is his second gold medal in London. A bad news is that the Chinese men's basketball team was defeated by Brazil with 95-59, this is their forth consecutive defeat in London, thus the Chinese team is out of contention for the quater-finals. Gold medal No. 21: by Li Xuerui in women's badminton individual. Gold medal No. 22: by Tian Qing and Zhao Yunlei in women's badminton doubles. Gold medal No. 23: by Chen Ding in men's 20-km walk. Gold medal No. 24: by Sun Yang in men's 1500-m freestyle swimming. Gold medal No. 25: by Li Na, Sun Yujie, Luo Xiaojuan and Xu Anqi in women's epee team. Please see the photos.
