What's your opinion on 2012 Olympic games ??



The Ancient Olympic Games were a series of competitions held between representatives of several city-states and kingdoms in Ancient Greece. These games featured mainly athletic but also combat and chariot racing events. During the games, all conflicts among the participating city-states were postponed until the games were finished. The origin of these Olympics is shrouded in mystery and legend, and one of the most popular myths identifies Heracles and his father Zeus as the progenitors of the Games. According to legend, it was Heracles who first called the Games "Olympic" and established the custom of holding them every four years.  A legend persists that after Heracles completed his twelve labors, he built the Olympic stadium as an honor to Zeus. Following its completion, he walked in a straight line for 200 steps and called this distance a "stadion" (Greek: στάδιον, Latin: stadium, "stage", which later became a unit of distance. Another myth associates the first Games with the ancient Greek concept of Olympic truce (ἐκεχειρία, ekecheiria). The most widely accepted date for the inception of the Ancient Olympics is 776 BC; this is based on inscriptions, found at Olympia, listing the winners of a footrace held every four years starting in 776 BC. The Ancient Games featured running events, a pentathlon (consisting of a jumping event, discus and javelin throws, a foot race, and wrestling), boxing, wrestling, pankration, and equestrian events.Tradition has it that Coroebus, a cook from the city of Elis, was the first Olympic champion.


The Olympic Movement encompasses a large number of national and international sporting organizations and federations, recognized media partners, as well as athletes, officials, judges, and every other person and institution that agrees to abide by the rules of the Olympic Charter. As the umbrella organization of the Olympic Movement, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is responsible for selecting the host city, overseeing the planning of the Olympic Games, updating and approving the sports program, and negotiating sponsorship and broadcasting rights.

I may not be interested in sports
for our country, i think improve the public sports facilities is more important than win so many world champion.
we won 2008  Olympic games,  but we chinese  have relatively weak physical health
it is said more  world champion could strengthen national pride
but what is national pride?
maybe it is more should be called face
To be a really powerful country, we still have a long way to go......

I am intrested in it especially  when we win  Gold medals. It's a proud from my heart. I would like to watch some games like ping pong,basketball,tennis,Volleyball and so on.I  will still   pay close attention on Liu Xiang.

I still remember the spirit of Glympic which is described in the English text book:"faster higher and stronger".
It's a grand meeting filled with passion and competitiveness. Hope our competitors will do their best and make excellent performances.
So far our country has got 6 gold medals, and it is a good start which indicates the final success!

Olympic games represent more stronger, more quicilkly and more higher! This sprits give us hope for the handcapes in the future life, just like the flicking light in the darkness, drives the fear, stress and worry until we become more confidence!Moreover, Olympic encourages humanbeing living togerther in harmorny, peace and green enviromental! My specialy is bioengineering and biotenology, anyway I always focus on environment, focus on love ,focus on peaceful world! I support olympic games, which produces many heroes, such as YI SI LIng, Sun yang and Ye SIwen! I love you guys, come on!

Though I dont like some sports, but if there were the news about the Olympic Games, I will watch it. The Olympic Games not only the sporters got themselves glory, but also for our country. I know if you got more medals in the Olympic Games, your country will be more popular in the world, and your country will be becoming more and more powerful in other country people's thought. So its very important for the sporter and conutry. So there were so many country and people will be attention to it!
