haven't written stuff here for somewhat a long time

I don't remember last time when I write any posts here. June is a busy month since I was fighting with my finals, especially the major courses. Hardly can I sleep for over 8 hours in a row and I happened to catch a cold during that time. That was a terrible experience. Summer vacation began at the middle of June and it has been more than a month so far. School with quarter system starts their summer vacation at June and ends late September so it would be about 4 month vacation. But not be jealous about this since we do only have 2-week winter vacation before new year. I choose to stay here to finish my engineered bacteria project and possible intern work. The bacteria project is simple in steps but meets bunch of difficulties. The interesting things are that difficult problems were set up by us students. At the very beginning of project, I said we should use an inverter to change the effect of output, which is like I dig a hole and everybody jumped into it with me. And now I have problems with the co-expression of two plasmid with five genes needed for expression. I did not find efficient way to do it in previous team work or from other country team. Adviser say if I can finish it up, it would be a good chance to get one publication in JOB. Hope success. |
