On October 24-26, 2012, the 3rd International Conference on the Internet of Things (IoT2012) (www.iot2012.org) will be held in Wuxi, China.

Wuxi is a city that has more than 2,000 years of history and has a population of more than 6 million. Wuxi city is located some 45 minutes by train north west of Shanghai. The city has been named the "Sensing China Center" since the year 2008 and is one of the leading centers of IoT-related research and industry in China. The conference will be held in the Wuxi InterContinental hotel, and there will be shuttle buses connecting the conference hotel directly to Shanghai International Airport.

In what is called the Internet of Things (IoT), sensors and actuators embedded in physical objects — from containers to pacemakers — are linked through both wired and wireless networks to the Internet. When objects in the IoT can sense the environment, interpret the data, and communicate with each other, they become tools for understanding complexity and for responding to events and irregularities swiftly. The IoT is therefore seen by many as the ultimate solution for getting fine grained insights into business processes — in the real-world and in real-time. Started one decade ago as a wild academic idea, this interlinking of the physical world and cyberspace foreshadows an exciting endeavour that is highly relevant to researchers, corporations, and individuals.

On October 25 and October 26, there will be poster sessions including a one minute oral presentation - the "one minute madness session” - for each poster. The objective of the poster sessions is to give researchers in the emerging research areas and their applications the opportunity to present early results in order to share experiences and strategies. The poster sessions will take place in the main lobby.

You are cordially invited to submit proposals for posters. Your application should provide the following information:

-Title of the poster

-The names/affiliations and contact information of the corresponding author

-The names/affiliations and contact information of all authors

-The name of the poster presenter (one of the authors)

-An extended abstract (max. 2 pages) describing the content of the poster

Authors should submit their poster proposals no later than August 15 23:59 (EST), 2012 in PDF format through EDAS. For more information please visit the conference homepage (www.iot2012.org).

Each application will be evaluated based on the IoT Topics of Interest (see: call for proposals). A limited number of posters will be accepted. Authors of accepted posters must guarantee that their posters will be presented at the conference. Submitted posters will be reviewed by the poster selection committee and notification of acceptance will be provided to the corresponding author no later than September 15, 2012.

Poster Display Size: When preparing accepted posters please note that your poster should not exceed the following dimensions: 1.2m*1.5m portrait format - equivalent to DIN A0 paper format. Other formats will not be supported.

The camera-ready version of the posters will be published as Internet of Things 2012 Adjunct Proceedings together with the extended abstract. However, it will NOT be on IEEE Xplore because their selection process is different from conference full papers.
