1. 中国科学院城市环境研究所博士后职位 A postdoctoral researcher position is available at the Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The successful applicant will be expected to conduct research, assist in the training and mentoring of graduate students, and writing research proposals and reports. The ideal candidate should possess one or more of the following research experiences: 1) Use of ground-based or satellite remote sensing technologies for studying airborne pollutants; 2) Carbonaceous aerosols, in particular black carbon (field sampling, instrumental analysis, source apportionment, radiative forcing effects); 3) bio-aerosols (either indoor or outdoor). The ideal candidate should hold a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Environmental Engineering, or other suitable fields; and also have excellent communication skills and a record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals. Applicants should send a 1-page cover letter, a curriculum vitae, and 2-3 samples of relevant publications to Dr. Du, Ke, kdu@iue.ac.cn. More information about the Institute of Urban Environment can be found at http://iue.cas.cn. 2. 中国科学院城市环境研究所助理研究员/副研究员职位 A faculty position, at the level of assistant professor is available at the Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Exceptional applicants will be considered for the rank of associate professor. The successful applicant will be expected to independently conduct research, assist in the training and mentoring of graduate students, and writing research proposals and reports. The ideal candidate should possess one of the following two backgrounds: 1) Use of ground-based or satellite remote sensing technologies for studying airborne pollutants; 2) bio-aerosols (either indoor or outdoor). The ideal candidate should hold a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Environmental Engineering, or other suitable fields; and also have excellent communication skills and a record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals. Previous training as a postdoctoral researcher is strongly desired.
