Two cases: ①When I was a little child, I got tonsillitis  almost every month. But when I'm adult, the symptom fell away. ②One of my friends took that operation and after that he has a delicate constitution that easy to catch a cold, can not do strenuous exercise, etc.
But of course, everyone is different, I definitely give my best wishes to your daughter.
