Hiking in the rain
|

Hiking becomes one of my favorite exercises. Cantonese call hiking “hang san”, and I think it is rather accurate, as during most of the hiking time, we walk and clime mountains. I love hiking as it makes me feel more relaxed. Especially, sitting in front of a computer for a whole weekend is rather boring,I hate doing nothing at all, especially hanging out on the internet. Going into the wild! I badly need some different activities and fresh air at weekends. Today, I still chose hiking as usual. But it was a special hiking experience. As the tropical storm has not been totally escaped from this area, I have to finish hiking in the rain. Fortunately,the rain had been weakened and when I reached one of the summits, it stopped rain. Hiking road becomes slippery and I have to be very careful. Sometimes, I have to grasp the truck of big trees avoiding slipping and falling. Although a little dangerous, I found hiking in the rain very exciting. It seems that the sky and air is much cleaner than that of usual days. Thanks to the rain, it is really cool and you are free from being hurt by burning sunshine. There were rather few people in the mountain. Almost everyone of the hikers I met grated to me with big smiles. Actually I could also feel that they were excited from their satisfied smiles. I spent almost the whole afternoon in the mountain. I didn’t get hurt as I was very well prepared. I carried acompact camera this time and took a few photos. As I was a green hand , the pictures are low in quality. But I still like to show some for your entertainment. what a pity that i'm not a cantonese. but you are quit smart, i'm now in guangdong province. i love guangdong, so many interesting things and beautiful sceneries. i have spent almost the most important 6 years in this amazing area. and i gained a lot compared with 6 years before. you are really active in english cafe and i highly envy your fluent english. wish you every success! good night! |
