POST-DOC Proposal: southern France2012年6月27日 周三下午11:16 发件人: "Philip HOGGAN" <Philip.HOGGAN@univ-bpclermont.fr>将发件人添加到联系人收件人: casino-users@tcm.phy.cam.ac.ukDear Casino Users, The Pascal Institute of Physics in Clermont-Ferrand, France is seeking applicants to a post doctoral position (nominally a year beginning 1st sept 2013). Candidates should have their PhD by end feb 2013 and, preference will be given to those having programming skills and expertise with CASINO. The applications are to structures of III-V semiconductors and their surface properties (e.g. nitride layers on GaAs substrates with a (100) interface). Salary is on a standard European scale. Candidates are not required to be French speakers. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Local info. Clermont is in the volcanic part of the Massif Centrale, about 2h drive due west of Lyon (and 400km south east of Paris). The city has a Regional airport, fast trains to Paris and Lyon and good motorway links to Lyon, Montpellier, Paris and Bordeaux. Appart from Blaise Pascal, Clermont was home to Vercingetorix who defeated Caesar here in 52BC. It is home to Michelin and a top rugby team.
