thanks for your email below. I have looked up your file and note that we have sent your paper to SEVEN different referees and chased each of them a number of times. I have no idea why your paper should be problematic in this respect, but I sem to have trouble in eliciting referee reports and I cannot proceed until I have some to base an editorial decision upon.

I am very sorry for this delay. I know you have nominated referees and I think we have tried all of these as well as others I nominated. You could nominate some more from outside your own country and I am perfectly willing to try these as well, but until I have reports I cannot proceed I am afraid. Alternatively you could try another journal, but I am not sure you would have more success there.

We have some 3000 submissions per year and most gain referee reports without a problem, and I am afraid your is one of those which are inexplicably problematic.
