英国博后的制度 已有8人参与

联系了一个剑桥的教授，说他们英国的博后工资不是从学校经费里支出的，只能申请CSC或者别的类似Marie Curie的奖学金，是这样吗？ 还有个问题，就是配偶刚领证，陪读过去申请签证有问题吗？需要保证金吗 [ Last edited by ramlim on 2012-6-15 at 16:59 ] |

However, in the UK system we do not have salary lines of job positions that we can assign from the university budget. 英国的大学的内部经费不能用来雇佣博士后。 Instead, we must obtain competitive grant funding.想雇博士后，必须通过大学外部的funding来资助，要么是他申请的项目，要么是博后基金。但这个教授不提他应该去申请项目来资助，而是让楼主去申请fellowship。。。。该教授的诚意不太足。 |

On the matter of a postdoc you would be a good candidate. However, in the UK system we do not have salary lines of job positions that we can assign from the university budget. Instead, we must obtain competitive grant funding. The best avenue would be to look into international funding possibilities through the Chinese Government or through British sources such as the Royal Society (= the UK academy of science), for example the Newton fellowships (next deadline in April 2012, for start in Fall 2012: http://royalsociety.org/grants/schemes/newton-international/). The EU is another possibility- I suggest you google for Marie Curie scheme. If you are interested in trying for a fellowship, please let me know and perhaps we can think of some ideas. |
