The application of bioactive peptides has been increasingly prevalent in recent years; therefore, this paper gives thorough elaboration of the study results on bioactive peptides in the latest years at home and abroad, and comprehensively introduces their classifications, preparation of raw materials and methods as well as their physiological roles and functions. Bioactive peptides have many important physiological functions, such as antioxidant, antibacteria, anticancer, reducing blood pressure and improving human’s immunity, thus the study on their preparation, structure and function is of great theoretical and practical value.
