好书——《GIS: A Computer Science Perspective》

一本不错的真正从底层介绍GIS数据组织、架构和算法的书。现在最新的是第二版，可是我只有第一版的电子版，要是谁有第二版的话麻烦共享一下吧！ 以下是google book里对该书的评论：This is probably my favorite single text on GIS. It is one of the few texts that try to present the fundamental concepts of GIS in a way that, at once, pushes the Geography major into the less-comfortable realms of mathematics, logic and computer science, while demonstrating to the Computer Science major many of the ways in which "spatial is special"I sure hope the authors write a new edition of this book. This edition was published just before recent revolutions in GIS have occurred, like Google Earth, OpenStreetMap, wide-spread use of navigation devices and other portable devices like smart phones. Even without a new edition, a close read of the current edition will yield remarkable insights into these new socio-technological applications of spatial information. For instance, on pages 338-399, the authors outline three actions for resolving inconsistencies in a spatial database. The first two actions directly map to traditional data production methods. The third action, "initiate dialog", precisely describes why OpenStreetMap does not bother to track data quality in metadata (or any other manner).[ Last edited by aoqingxin on 2012-6-7 at 20:54 ] |
