Recently, separation and recycling of the expensive chiral catalysts utilizing soluble PEG (polyethylene glycol) polymer supports have attracted a great of interest.8 The prominent advantage of PEG-immobilized chiral catalysts lies in that they are soluble in organic solvents, thereby allowing the reaction to proceed homogeneously and display similar activities and enantioselectivities to those of the homogeneous parent systems.
