[求助] 求一段话的英译汉

As another example, academics conducting research, writing,
and seeking to publish scholarly journal articles are presumably often
intrinsically motivated by their work. Yet, one wonders to what extent they
would carry on these often difficult and time-consuming activities were they
not employed by universities and expected to engage in these very activities
as part of their jobs.
