For grassman's fish

Share my experience of fish with grassman£º My hometown is on the Loess Pateau, where water is scarce. So, when we were young, we only saw fish in books. I remember my brother always wanted to go to the streams to see fish when he was young, the stream is about 20 km away. At that time, it seemed it was not easy for him to get there. He never got to the stream before he left my hometown to study in the county seat. To get to the school, he had to cross the river, furthermore, the school is beside a stream. I never saw a fish before I went to high school, either. But my experience with fish began in college. Our school is beside the Yellow River. I often went to the riverside after supper. One day, a lad gave me two fish he caught in the Yellow River. They are very average fish, brown, small. I kept them in a big glass bottle, every day, I went to the riverside to collect worms from the mud, it was really disgusting to search for the thin, red worms from the mud. As it got cold, one day, the water-heating system began work. In the morning, I felt the heater was warm. Before going to classroom, I put the bottle on the heater, to make the fish warm. At noon, when I came back from the classroom, I found both of my fish are floating on the water. ![]() My ignorance killed the fish! This was my first experience of raising fish. At present, there is a plastic box in my house, there are about 10 small fish, several shrimps and a tortoise in it. The tortoise has lived in the box for about three years. Some of the fish were caught by my daughter and us in the pond in the nearby university, some were gold fish, which we caught in a park after paying money. The shrimps were also caught in that university. My wife and my daughter often feed the fish and their friends. It seems the shrimps can eat a lot, but the fish only eat a little, too much food will kill them. Grassman, did you give too much food to your fish? Hope you happy! |

No, I seldom feed them. I don't know why my fish died suddenly. Maybe it was infected with some diseases or poisoned by some bad guy for my fish survive the longest. I can't tell anyway. To tell you another interesting thing about another fish. It happened this morning, yeah, it seemed a special day for my fish today, when one of them died and one of them named Little Red survived from a narrow escape. The adventure goes like this: I washed the bowl the time I found one of my lovely fish was killed in it, for I doubt whether there is some virus or something harmful in the fishbowl. So the other two fish were transferred to another shallow bowl with just a little fresh water. I thought it was enough for those two little creatures. So I left and went to the lab until midnoon. To my surprise, I found there was only one fish in the bowl. Where is Little Red? I searched it on my desk and under it, but found nothing. Has it been eaten by a cat? Damn the bad cat. A mysterious disappearance. Lucklily when I sat down, looking around the room, I found it. Excited because I finally found it, sad, because it was near to death. I didn't know how long it had lied there without a single water. To my relief, it moved slowly when placed in water. This can be the best interpretation of a fish in water. Then I gave it mouth-to-mouth breathing, haha. Now it seems okay now. Thanks godness. Something thrilling must have happened during this period, but nobody knows. Now I would like to entitle it the flying fish which can fly What a magical fish, isn't it? |
