J1 身份求助 已有4人参与

去年开始的博后，DS2019是到2013年结束的，前两天老板让我两个月内走人，我查了学校的J1规定，有这么一句话： Grace Period: As long as J-1 status is maintained, Exchange Visitors may remain in the U.S. up to 30 days past the program end date noted on DS-2019 to prepare for departure. Note: this does not permit work authorization or continuation of J-1 program activity. No grace period for early termination. 请问啥叫 early termination?如果我能找到新工作，J1可以transfer；如果没找到，就必须滚回家？还有没有grance period呢? 谢谢！ 另，没有任何过失的情况下，老板能让走人就走人么？潜在原因是钱不多了。 |

哦，是我搞错了。 实际情况是这样的，所有J1都是Exchange Visitors。 而J1又分为如下几类： 1. Professor: a professor is an individual primarily teaching, lecturing, observing, or consulting. A professor may also conduct research, unless disallowed by the sponsor. Minimum stay of three weeks required Maximum stay of five years 2. Research Scholar: a research scholar is an individual primarily conducting research, observing, or consulting in connection with a research project. The research scholar may also teach or lecture, unless disallowed by the sponsor. Minimum stay of three weeks required Maximum stay of five years 3. Short-term Scholar: a short-term scholar is an individual coming to the US for a period of up to six months to lecture, observe, consult, and participate in seminars, workshops, conferences, study tours, professional meetings, or similar types of educational and professional activities. No minimum stay required Maximum stay of six months (NOTE: no extensions beyond six months under any circumstances) 4. Specialist: a specialist is an expert in a field of specialized knowledge or skill coming to the US to demonstrate his/her special knowledge/skills, observe or consult.
