香港科技大学招分子动力学方向博士后

The research group led by Prof. Baoling Huang in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology has an open postdoctoral position for the investigation of the thermal transport in low-dimensional semiconductors and nanocomposites using molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. Duration is about 1-2 years with possible renewal and salary is commensurate with qualifications. Medical benefits and paid leave will be provided where applicable. Responsibilities • Perform molecular dynamics simulations for the thermal transport in low-dimensional structures or nanocomposites • Model and analyze the calculated thermal transport properties and explore the corresponding transport mechanisms • Communicate research progress to the group and externally through peer reviewed publications Qualifications: • Recent Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or Chemistry. • Familiar with molecular dynamics simulations and proficient in Lammps. • Expertise in heat transfer physics is preferred • Expertise in density function theory and semiconductor physics is highly preferred. • Technical analysis and communication skills must be demonstrated through research publications in peer reviewed journals.
