[交流] Is China the cleverest country in the world?

It is reported that China is overtaking western countries in Pisa test, a program for international student assessment. Chinese students are best one.
I would say our basic education might be the best one, but in terms of creative development it must be not the good one. Otherwise why so many parents want to send their kids to study abroad?

9 out of 10 American students would say: " I am lucky, so I study well."
" I am talented, so can manage math" the students from UK say. BUT Chinese students say: "it depends on the effort I invest."

Big difference!

I couldn't agree more. Chinese is clever in some points, for instance, how to make a benefit by escaping duty or how to take an advantage over colleagues. In addition, we are definitely clever in exams. We are familiar with all the contents of exams, but nothing else.
What a pity life!
