Research interests My research interests include phytogeography, biodiversity conservation, macroecology and evolutionary ecology, etc. The distribution of the plant and the habitat (vegetation) of the relationship is the result of the long-term evolution, however, the current global change (especially human activities, such as land use change) has already caused the deep change of species range and their vegetation, and resulted in loss of biodiversity resources and endangered species to a great extent. Therefore, it is more important and urgent for current biodiversity conservation to clarify global change the influence of the species range, and reveal the relationship between species evolution and its habitat evolvement. The content of the specific which can develop can include 1) reveals the basic characteristics of plant diversity, and since the Tertiary climate change related, evaluate the vulnerable areas to global climate changes and key species in relevant vegetation; 2) study key species range response of the global change in different time scales, predict changes of key species range in the future under different climate scenarios; 3) explore the key species and its constituted the stability of the relationship between the community and maintaining mechanism; 4) analyze influence of land use change to distribution patterns of plant diversity to provide scientific theory for plant diversity conservation and sustainable utilization. |
