As undergraduates on my campus, we didn't have  air-conditioners in our dorms, even though the city of Nanchang is a stove. Although some students installed one in their dorms, it couldn't work after power cut(about half past 10 p.m.).

I'm in TianJin. Here is relative hot ,hehe .I mean that there is a air-condition ,it's not hot any more this sunmmer ,right?
