JOC投稿格式问题求助

投稿后第二天收到邮件，部分内容“Graphics and tables are charged against this limit at the rate of 100 words per vertical inch (50 words per vertical inch for graphics 3.3 inches or less in width.) Your manuscript currently exceeds the limit. Please shorten it to satisfy the requirements.” 我的文章是单栏，投稿指南里面的原话是“Graphics count against the word-count limits of Notes, Brief Communications, and JOCSynopses at the rate of 50 words per vertical inch for single-column-wide graphics (sized to 3.3-inch width), and 100 words per vertical inch for double-column-wide graphics (sized to 7.0-inch width). Any graphic (figure chart, scheme, or equation) that has appeared in an earlier publication should include a footnote directly below the graphic citing the original source. ” 不懂什么意思？50字和100字是什么意思？ |
