| Aliquots of saturated sodium 3-nitrobenzenesulphonate and sodium 4-nitrobenzenesulphonate solutions are transferred through a coarse filter into a tarred volumetric flask. The concentration of 3- or/and sodium 4-nitrobenzenesulphonate in water is determined using a Shimadzu-6A high-performance liquid phase chromatograph (HPLC). The Diamonsil C18 (150 mm×4.6mm) chromatographic column is used. The mobile phase consists of three eluents which are water, Na2SO4 and H3PO4. The uncertainty of the measurement is less than 0.001 g of sodium 3-nitrobenzenesulphonate or sodium 4-nitrobenzenesulphonate per 100 g of water. The densities (ρ) of the equilibrium liquid phase are measured using a pycnometer (11-FY) with an uncertainty of 0.0002 gcm-3. The densities of the equilibrated solution were measured with a gravity bottle method with a precision of (0.0002 g and used for mass fraction calculation of liquid components. The specific gravity bottle method with correction of the air floating force was used. The density of dry air at 293.15 K and normal atmospheric pressure. Each analysis is repeated three times, and the average value of the three measurements is considered as the final value of the analysis.18-19 |
