[交流] Panda in the breeding center in Chengdu

Panda or Giant Panda is an endangered animal, which only lives in China.

I have the chance to see it this time, after the CCS congress.

Please see photos first. (I failed to upload a picture).

According to the introduction in the breeding center, a panda can live about 20 years in the breeding center, but about 12 years in the wild.

An adult panda is about 100 kg, but the newly-born panda is ony 51-225 grams heavy! Perhaps this is one of the reasons why the panda becomes endangered. The young is too weak.

For a stranger in Chengdu, the first problem is how to get there.

According to our experience, Bus 198 and Bus 87 from Zhaojuesi bus station to the "Xiongmao Jidi" stop are available. It seems that the Bus 902 from the Traverller Gathering Center does not go there any more.

Our experience at the Panda Breeding Base is our best time in Chengdu! It really deserves a visit!

It is said that except during 9-10 a.m. when the panda is active, at other time, it often sleeps in the caves or rooms. So, try to get there before 9 a.m.

Yes, they are chubby, move slowly, with big head, just like the babies of mankind. It is believed that this is the reason why many people think panda is lovely.

There are pandas in zoos in many citie, but those in Chengdu are better, they live in their native environment, they live with a lot of their peers.

So, when you go to Chengdu, do not forget to see the pandas.
