美国化学会在中国的绿色化学短期课程介绍

这是美国化学会给我发的会议邮件，是美国化学会，中科院化学所和上海有机所联合办的一个一天课程，5月分别在北京和上海。希望中科院的虫子能够参加这样的会议，与大家共享会议内容。 The American Chemical Society in partnership with the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry are pleased to present the one-day short course Green Chemistry for Fine Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Shanghai May 18, 2007 and Beijing May 20, 2007 Organic chemists and pharmaceutical research scientists will find this one-day short course invaluable Lead Instructor: Professor Chao-Jun Li of McGill University, Canada Canada Research Chair (Tier I) in Green/Organic Chemistry May 18, 2007 Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry Co-instructor: Professor Sheng-Ming Ma May 20, 2007 Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences Co-instructor: Professor Dong Wang Green Chemistry is an emerging, new field of chemical science. The subject deals with finding new scientific means to drastically increase the energy and material efficiency of chemical manufacturing processes, increase safety associated with chemical products, and find ways to utilize cheaper and renewable feedstocks for chemical production. Such innovations will have both economically competitive advantages and lower environmental impact related to chemical production. This course will discuss cover the principles and applications of green chemistry in synthesizing fine chemicals and pharmaceuticals. The courses will be taught in English. Topics to be covered: Introduction to the Principles of Green Chemistry (P. Anastas & J.
