¡¡¡¡On the evening of April 14, 1912 a number of first-class passengers on the Titanic revelled in a privately hosted feast in the first-class ¨¢ la carte restaurant. At the same time in the first-class dining saloon other first-class passengers - some who had paid the equivalent of $124,000 in today's dollars for the ocean voyage - settled in for a sumptuous, if over-filling, ten-course extravaganza. Meanwhile, in the second-class dining saloon, second-class passengers ate a less elaborate but beautifully served dinner. And third-class passengers ate simply prepared, hearty meals served in their own spartan dining saloon¡£ ¡¡¡¡1912Äê4ÔÂ14ÈÕÍíÉÏ£¬Ì©Ì¹Äá¿ËºÅÍ·µÈ²ÕµÄ²¿·Ö³Ë¿ÍÀ´µ½¸ß¼¶×ÔÖú²ÍÌü²Î¼ÓÒ»¸ö˽ÈËÑçÇë¡£ÕâЩÏíÊÜÖÁ×ð·þÎñµÄÈË£¬»¨ÁËÏ൱ÓÚ½ñÈÕ12.4ÍòÃÀÔªµÄ¼ÛÇ®²ÅµÇÉÏÕâËÒ¾ÞÂÖ¡£Í¬Ò»Ê±¼ä£¬ÔÚÍíÑçɳÁú»¹ÓÐÁíһȺͷµÈ²ÕµÄ¿ÍÈË£¬×¼±¸ÏíÓÃ10µÀ²Ë×é³ÉµÄÉÝ»ªÊ¢Ñç¡£¶øÔÚ¶þµÈ²Õ²ÍÌüÀËäÈ»³Ë¿ÍÏíÓõIJËʽûÓÐÄÇô¾«Ö£¬È´Ò²²»Ê§Ë®×¼¡£ÖÁÓÚÈýµÈ²ÕÀïµÄÈËÃÇ£¬Ö»Óмòµ¥µØÌî±¥¶Ç×Ó¶øÒÑÁË¡£ ¡¡¡¡Several hours later, in the early morning of April 15th, the Titanic sank taking 1581 passengers and crew - many well fed and lubricated - to their untimely deaths¡£ ¡¡¡¡¼¸¸öСʱÒÔºó£¬Ò²¾ÍÊÇ15ÈÕÁ賿£¬Ì©Ì¹Äá¿ËºÅ´ø×Å1581Ãû³Ë¿ÍºÍ´¬Ô±(ºÜ¶àÈËÒѾ¾Æ×ã·¹±¥)³ÁÈë±ùÀäµÄ±±´óÎ÷Ñó¡£ ¡¡¡¡What is the fascination with "last meals"? Is it that so many died, together, at one time, and that for the first-class passengers at least, their "last meals" were glorious feasts, brilliantly prepared and flawlessly served in an atmosphere of elegance and luxury - with death waiting in the wings? Or is it that the last meal provides a touchstone to the sinking that is accessible to each of us in gustatory terms we all understand? Or is it that the "last dinner" on the Titanic is simply a metaphor for seizing each moment as if it's the last¡£ ¡¡¡¡ÎÒÃÇÿ¸öÈ˶¼»áÓÐ×îºóÒ»²Í£¬ÄÇ̩̹Äá¿ËºÅ×îºóµÄÍí²ÍÓÖÓв»Í¬£¿Ò²ÐíÊÇÒòΪ1581Ãû³Ë¿ÍºÍ´¬Ô±Ò»ÆðéæÃü£¬¶ø¾ÍÔÚÍ·µÈ²Õ³Ë¿ÍÔÚÓÅÑÅÉÝ»ªµÄ·ÕΧÖÐÏíÊܲËʽ¾«ÖµÄÊ¢´óÍíÑçʱ£¬ÖÏÏ¢µÄËÀÍöÕýÔÚÒ»ÅÔËÅ»ú¶ø¶¯£»Ò²ÐíÍ·µÈ²ÕµÄÍêÃÀζ¾õÊ¢ÑçÕýÊÇËÀÉñ·¢³öµÄ³Á´¬Ðźţ»Ò²Ðí̩̹Äá¿ËºÅÉϵÄ×îºóÍí²ÍÖ»ÊÇÔÚ¸æËßÎÒÃÇ£¬Òª½ô½ôץסÉúÃüÖеÄÿ¸öʱ¿Ì¡£ ¡¡¡¡There were only two menus recovered from the Titanic for the night of the 14th.
