Energy saving has become a global tendency while the condition of all kind of the global energy resources, even nuclear energy is becoming more and more serious. In these cases, it is more necessary to use electricity properly. Acoustooptic delay on-off switch, which has an advantage of less spaces in size, better out-looking, easier manufacture and reliable when working, can be both installed in corridors of uptown and public zones such as factories, offices and teaching buildings. There is an old saying that a step by step, a thousand miles. Even it is only a small on-off switch I design, but I believe that the total number of saving will be very appreciable if everyone keeps energy saving in mind. What¡¯s more, as a perfect choice for the public lighting switches, it will gain the function of security and at the same time take the place of everlasting lamp This design is a high sensitivity acoustooptic control switch that triggered by a clap at night. The circuit can be triggered and lighted only by a CMOS gate circuit (TC4081BP), a small electrets capacitor microphone, a Cds photoresistor and several resistors and capacitors. It can turn off the delay circuit itself without shutdown-signal. In addition, the photoresistor holds the circuit in the daytime, which called the function of automatic light-control, so that the switch won¡¯t turn on even triggered by sound signal. There is three points we need to take care in the circuit design. First, the quiescent point of audion must be designed properly in order to stay in a saturate or cut-off state. Secondly, voice switch and photoresistor need a better sensitivity through adjustment of potentiometer.
