Geometry optimization keep y and z coordinate constant

Dear CPMDer, Can any one tell me that, if CPMD can do geometry optimization keep y and z coordinate constant. For example, if the H2O geometry is optimization, and as all we know, all the atoms are in the same plane, so we can keep the z coordinate constant, and the optimize the x and y coordinate. If I can do this? If yes, how? If no, why? Thanks in advance |
