| The construction of advantage disciplines is the inevitable choice for the research-oriented universities to promote its reform and development. Drawing lessons from the developmental patterns of dominant disciplines at home and abroad, we analyzed the factors that influence the development of advantage disciplines in this paper. Furthermore, we put forward an innovative developmental model which suits the development of advantage disciplines in our country. It may be helpful to enhance the core competence and the educating level of universities, to promote the reform and development of the higher education, and to innovate the macroscopic educating concept in our country. |

Construction of advanced discipline is inevitable in the process of promoting school reform and development of research universities. The development model of advanced discipline in home and abroad is introduced in this paper. In this paper the factors which affects the development of advanced discipline are analysed and a new innovative development model that adapts to the advanced discipline development in research universities of our country.
