以下是审稿人问题:It is extremely difficult to measure any kinetic overpotential for the H2 evolution reaction in acidic electrolyte on a Pt electrode. Certainly it cannot be done with a stationary porous electrode. The polarization that one observes is enitrely mass transfer and/or ohmic resistance. To be sure there are effects of the structure of the Pt electrode, but there are no true catalytic (kinetic) effects that be separated out from the observed polarization. This is a journal of catalysis. There is no catalytic result here.
