| Because complex 1 belongs to crystal class 222 and point group (D2), and complex 2 crystallizes in the space group Cc, which belongs to polar point group Cs, becauseof the ligand coordination enhancing the rigidity of ligand, a good donor acceptor system is formed, which is essential for SHG effect, so we performed quasi-Kurtz [25]. SHG measurements on powder sample of 1 and 2 to confirm its acentricity as well as to evaluate its potential application as second-order NLO material. The compound 1 displays a second harmonic generation (SHG) response comparable to urea and 2 display SHG activity with a response of approximately 0.8 times of that for urea. |
