DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURAL AND BIOSYSTEMS ENGINEERING, SOUTH DAKOTA STATE UNIVERSITY Postdoctoral research associate – Biofuel and Bioenergy The Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering at South Dakota State University (SDSU) is seeking a postdoctoral research associate. The postdoctoral research will involve in thermochemically converting biomass into bio-oil and thus upgrading into the third generation bio-fuels. The applicants should have PhD degree/s in chemical engineering, or related area. A background in catalytic development is required. Previous experiences in biomass gasification and pyrolysis, catalyst preparation and/or tubular reactor processing are desirable but not required. The research program offers interdisciplinary research opportunities on biomass gasification and pyrolysis, syngas conditioning, syngas to bio-fuels, and bio-oil upgrading to bio-fuels. The selected postdoctoral research associate will supervise graduate students, write grant proposals to secure extramural funding, and establish strong record of publications.
