Lecturer and Postdoctoral positions in stem cell，telomere biology, and bioinformatics at SYSU, Guangzhou, China Multiple lecturer and postdoctoral fellow positions are available at the Stem Cell and Functional Genomic Lab, School of Life Sciences, Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China. Projects will involve biochemical, molecular, cellular, genetic, and bioinformatic approaches to define the mechanisms of: (i) self renewal and differentiation of embryonic stem cells and spermatogonial stem cells; (ii) telomere maintenance by telomere-associated proteins and telomerase; (iii) novel genes through gene targeting using mouse and zebrafish models; (iv) protein-protein interactions and signaling networks in stem cells and cancer cells Potential candidates will be working with a group of talented scientists under the supervision of Dr. Zhou Songyang, Dean of School of Life Sciences. Candidates should be highly motivated and have a recent PhD degree in one of these fields: biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology or bioinformatics. Strong background and previous research experiences in stem cell, telomere, gene targeting, genomics or bioinformatics is highly preferred.
