To a solution of IBX (1.05 g, 3.75 mmol) in DMSO (8 mL) was added aniline (3.0mmol) in one portion. The mixture was stirred at r.t.until complete consumption of the aniline (monitored by TLC).H2O (8 mL) was then added, and the mixture was extracted with CH2Cl2(5 × 8 mL). The combined extracts were dried over anhyd Na2SO4. After filtration the solvent was removed and the residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography to afford the final compound. |
