[交流] cash or card

Yesterday I received a parcel, I ordered it from a shop of online. It contains a first stage milk powder, a pair of scissors and a box of cotton swab, all of them for my baby who only more than one month old. I opened the parcel  and checked it with the deliveryman, It's just the goods I ordered the day before yesterday, so I signed my name at the delivery-list. Then, the man asked me for paying, I  took out my bank card, but the man said:" only cash please!".
    "But I choose 'use bank card' for the style of pay." I said. "
    "But I haven't take the move-POS machine today." he said.
    I had no idea but paid it  in using cash.


high English level man/woman modify above paragraph  please!

What I  mean is I paid by bank card.
