The Hans Christian Ørsted Postdoc Program The call will be published in Science (9/3) and Nature (23/3) http://www.dtu.dk/Om_DTU/ledige_ ... e-a547-7caefd796ede DTU invites highly talented young researchers who have obtained outstanding results during their PhD studies and who have demonstrated excellence and potential in their field of study, to apply for one the stipends under the Hans Christian Ørsted Postdoc Program. The program is named after Hans Christian Ørsted, discoverer of Electromagnetism and founder of the university. Applicants for the Hans Christian Ørsted Postdoc Program must have obtained a PhD degree, or be very close to graduating, from a university outside Denmark. The application must include: Research plan of max 3 pages, references included, which clearly outlines a project of 12 to 24 months’ duration at DTU Short CV Publication list Letters of recommendation from latest university department and/or most recent employer Letter of confirmation signed by the relevant DTU department head, stating that the department and the candidate have agreed upon the research plan for the duration of the postdoc period. This letter should also describe any agreements on co-financing, if applicable (see below). The project description must be formulated to be comprehensible to professors and researchers without expertise in the specialist field in question. The research plan should also briefly reflect on how the project supports the research at the hosting DTU department. Contact must have been established with a department at DTU prior to submission of the application. An application for more than 12 months requires co-financing from the DTU department. Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of their research plan, publication list, and letters of recommendation. Salary and terms of employment The positions are temporary and for a maximum of two years. General appointment terms will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations with a salary of approximately DKK 31,000 plus 17.1 % pension per month.
