[交流] Gossip about family conflicts.

There is a chubby girl by the name of Lily in our community, she is five, her mother works nearby, but her father is employed by a company faraway, every day, he has to go to work or come home by car.

Lily's father has two sisters, both of them live faraway. In order to take care of Lily, her grandparents, i. e., her father's parents left their home in the countryside and came to live with Lily and her parents.

Lily's mother's parents also came. So, there is a very big family, three couples and one kid. And , as time goes on, conflicts occured.

Lily's grandmother now works as a janitor of our community. She is a tall, happy lady, about 60. Her hometown is faraway, and it is difficult for me to understand her accent, however, I am always moved by her smiling.

Yesterday, after picking my daughter up from the kingdgarten, my wife was stopped by Lily's grandmother at the gate. According to my wife, Lily's grandmother said, I was very angry, but nobody will listen to me here, I don't have a friend, my son leaves every morning early and comes home late.

She said, Lily's mother has not spoken with her for a very long time already. Oh! My wife asked why, she said that, Lily's mother's parents left the house and went to live with their son, however, they were not welcome by their son and daughter-in-law. So, they had to come back, both of the old couples also do cleaning in a nearby community. Because of the conflicts between these two old couples, Lily's mother's parents rented a house nearby.

Because of this, the attitude of Lily's mother towards Lily's grandmother worsened.

Because she was angry, she told more stories about their family to my wife. I will go on gossiping.

Except breakfast, Lily's grandmother cooks other two meals every day, after that, she goes to work the gate, the gate is only open at the meal time three times a day. She also buy food stuff for the family, you know, except Lily's father who works faraway, five adults eat at home. But, she said, her son only gave her 200 yuan for shopping every month, but, her son earns about 100-200 thousand yuan each year.

Before Lily's was born, her grandmother came to look after the coming baby and her mother. It seems it is a tradition of their hometown, people often visit their relatives with a lot of things. Before Lily was born, her grandparents came, with 12 hens, all alive!

I think they must come by bus, because it is forbidden to take a train with animals.

I was moved by what the old couples did.

After arrival, she killed and washed the hens, boiled them, you know, it is often think that the hen soup is very nutritious and it helps the new mother to recover.

However, her counterpart was angry, she thought that the hen was old, the the chicken was too tough to chew, it will hurt the teeth of her daughter, the effect will come out when her daughter is old.

You know, old people often think a wowan just giving birth to a bady is very fragile, one must be very careful when dealing with things of the lady. According to Lily's grandmother, her counterpart ate the 12 hens.

Another conflict between them is that, she was mistreated by her counterpart on washing clothes.

She said, she washes the clothes of all the family except Lily's mother's. But, once, when she was busy and she put her own clothes with others, her counterpart washed the clothes of othrers, with a washing machine, only left hers.

She felt very angry about this.

Perhaps, after that, they quarreled. And, Lily's mother's parents left, this made Lily's mother angry.

Lily's grandmother said, Lily sleeps in the same bed with her since she was very young every night, she takes care of everything of Lily. But, the condition makes her very angry and dissappointed. After she works here for one year, this is her promise to the employer, she will return to her hometown.

Most of us will marry, and will face the odd things of a family, especially when the bay is young, or when the parents are old, at these occasions, we will share our time, our space, our difficulties with others. Under the same ceiling, we eat, we live, se speak, so, conflicts are inevitable.

I think, young people are the essence in dealing with such conflicts, we should talk with each side, and explain the reason and the condition, persuade them to change the way they doing things.
