This method for producing the allyl alcohol compound from the allyl halide compound comprises reacting the allyl halide compound with a fatty acid alkali metal salt, saponifying the obtained fatty acid allyl ester compound in the presence of an inorganic alkali metal salt in an alcohol solvent into the allyl alcohol compound and the fatty acid alkali metal salt, and then separating the allyl alcohol compound from the obtained composition containing the allyl alcohol compound. !
