Job description 1. Involved in and contribute to the technical architecture of the website 2. Implementation of the components defined in architecture, such as the development of web pages, integration of the web pages and tools, data visualization and web services 3. Responsible for his/her own documentation of the code, design and plan in revision control system and collaboration system 4. Responsible for the unit and system testing of the web application he/she is responsible for 5. Deliver the product and service at defined time 6. Development and maintenance of web templates to display the text-based scientific data Requirements Computer science degree with 3+ years experience. The skill sets include 1. Full-cycle data-driven web application development 2. Code in HTML, CSS, XML, Javascript, and at least one interpreted language such as PHP, Python or Perl; and one 3rd-generation language such as Java, C#, C++ or C. Experience in database programming is a plus. 3. Faceted search engine development skill, such as Lucene/Solr, and/or web service development 4. Ajax technology, development framework, such as Spring or Hibernate, and server technology such as Tomcat and application server 5.
